Our book club pick for November 2024 is “Be Ready When the Luck Happens,” by Ina Garten (via Amazon; affiliate link)
This is the long-awaited memoir from “The Barefoot Contessa,” a prodigious cookbook author, charming television host and fabulous party hostess. Her new book covers her difficult childhood, meeting and marrying Jeffrey, working at a specialty food store in the Hamptons, and her path to owning a shop, getting her TV show and writing her cookbooks.
I’m so excited to dive into her story and learn more about her life behind the camera. It’s ok to read the book early – I’ve referenced a reading schedule to help guide our discussions throughout November.
