There are 3 vegan cookbooks that are being released this spring and summer of 2021 that look fantastic. Let’s take a look!

Indian Vegan & Vegetarian: 200 Traditional Plant-Based Recipes

The cover of Indian Vegan & Vegetarian: 200 Traditional Plant-Based Recipes is stunning! If this isn’t enough to get you to check out this cookbook, let’s take a peek inside!

The cool part about this cookbook is that the recipes are all divided by regions in India. This makes cooking fun and interesting as we learn about how each region utilizes their ingredients and what kinds of flavors to expect. Baljekar has also provided a snippet of history about each place. This cookbook is educational and yummy!

We learn about regional ingredients, techniques, and traditions that some of us might not be aware of. This is also important for the success of each dish!

Of course, as the title indicates, there are 200 amazing plant-based Indian dishes throughout this book. We can enjoy Indian Vegan & Vegetarian: 200 Traditional Plant-Based Recipes all year around.

The photography is gorgeous and really showcases each dish in this cookbook. Many of the recipes are paired with a glorious photograph. Not only that, some of the more complicated techniques are photographed. That means we can see how some recipes are made with a step by step visualization.

Everything looks so vibrant and perfect for summertime. I love eating spicy and flavor filled foods on hot days!

Dada Eats Love to Cook It: 100 Plant-Based Recipes for Everyone at Your Table: A Cookbook

I love this cookbook. The thing about the Dada Eats Love to Cook It: 100 Plant-Based Recipes for Everyone at Your Table: A Cookbook is that it is a lot of fusion foods and unique recipes that are exclusive to this cookbook.

Author Samah Dada tries to avoid almost all allergens in her cookbook. This includes being dairy free, allergen-free, gluten-free, and grain-free. I appreciate that this isn’t for being trendy, rather she’s only using the most nutritious ingredients to create powerful flavors.

Some recipes you will find in this cookbook are: Kheer, sweet potato aloo tikka, coconut sugar halva strawberry crumble bars, and so much more!

Samah also provides an introduction to other kinds of flours and sugars with an explanation of how to use them without sacrificing flavor. This is so important, especially if you’re someone who is obsessed with texture!

Her recipes range from easy to difficult, which I appreciate. It’ll be great to grow with this cookbook and learn from Samah and her techniques.

You can learn more about Samah on her Website Dada Eats! I can’t get over her recipes, they are so unique.

Vegetarian Indian Instant Pot Cookbook: Authentic Recipes Made Quick and Easy

I have to include this one instant pot cookbook because I always cook Indian food with an instant pot. The Vegetarian Indian Instant Pot Cookbook: Authentic Recipes Made Quick and Easy cookbook is going to be a must have for all of you instant pot cookers!

The author, Pavani Nandula, wrote another Indian oriented cookbook last year called “The Essential Vegetarian Indian Cookbook: 125 Classic Recipes to Enjoy at Home” that is quite amazing. So I am looking forward to seeing what fast instant pot recipes she provides. You can also check out her website Cook’s Hideout to explore more of her recipes!

We learn different techniques while we use the insta-pot in this cookbook that include tadka (tempering) and bhunao (sautéing).

She provides sample menus to help out for planning weekday meals and most of these dishes come together in 45 minutes. It’s really convenient and amazing! Check it out!
