It’s #FollowFriday, and we want to introduce you to some of our current favorite cookbook-related podcasts! We’re really enjoying listening to these lately, and learning so much from them. Check them out:
The Cookbook Circle podcast features two London cookbook readers and recipe seekers, Hannah and Victoria. Recent episodes include an exploration of the Momofuku cookbook; rediscovery of Nigella Lawson’s “How to Eat” cookbook; and the hosts cook their way through Yotam Ottolenghi’s “Plenty” cookbook.
Visit their website at Cookbookcircle.com; the Cookbook Circle Podcast on Apple Podcasts and on Instagram.
The Cookbook Love podcast is hosted by Maggie Green, who celebrates cookbook readers, cookbook buyers, cookbook collectors, writers of cookbooks, and cookbook clubs. Recent episodes we’ve enjoyed included interviews with cookbook collectors, cookbook author Ginger Hultin, and an interview with a cookbook blogger.
Visit Cookbook Love on Apple Podcasts or on Libsyn.
Suzy Chase is the host of the long-standing and highly respected Cookery by the Book podcast. She interviews cookbook authors, and cooks or bakes one recipe out of each cookbook she covers. Recent episodes include one on “Why We Cook;” an interview with cookbook author Julia Turshen who just came out with “Simply Julia;” and an episode about the “Red Sands” cookbook.
Visit the Cookery by the Book webpage and Instagram profile.
The Inside Julia’s Kitchen podcast is a creation from the Julia Child Foundation. It’s part of the Heritage Radio Network. The podcast aims to introduce us to important people in the food world currently. It’s not actually about Julia Child. Instead, every episode title begins with “Meet” and the foodie or culinary professional person’s name.
Listen to Inside Julia’s Kitchen at Apple podcasts, or on Spotify.
The impressive Salt + Spine cookbook podcast currently has a faulty About Us page so we don’t know what to tell you about who they are. Meanwhile, their recent episodes all feature exclusive interviews with incredibly cool cookbook authors such as Julia Turshen of “Simply Julia,” Angela Garbacz of “Perfectly Golden,” and Kate McDermott from “Pie Camp.”
Listen to Salt + Spine on Apple Podcasts or at Player.fm, and visit their Instagram feed here.
The A Taste of the Past podcast is another one from the Heritage Radio Network. The presenter is Linda Palaccio. I’ve learned so much by listening to this one! Each episode is “a weekly journey through the history of food.” Recent episodes include “Pasta’s Past: One Dish at a Time,” “Foods of Christmas Past” and “Victory in the Kitchen: The Life of Churchill’s Cook.” Just wish they came out with new episodes slightly more often!
Visit A Taste of the Past’s website, listen to them on Apple Podcasts or over at Stitcher.
Don’t forget to check out our own Cookbook Divas podcast! Episodes upload on Fridays and minisodes upload on Tuesdays!
Happy listening,
-Carrie
