As things begin to get cooler, the more I want to stay home. (I love autumn!)
I don’t want to get stuck making the same seven meals every week, so I went to look at what cookbooks are coming out this October and November! Here are my top 5 cookbooks that’ll make you go “ahh” as you cozy up next to a fire and watch movies through the winter!
Who doesn’t want to try recipes from Modern Comfort Food: A Barefoot Contessa Cookbook? (via Amazon/affiliate link) All of the pictures make each recipe look so tasty! Ina Garten, the Barefoot Contessa, walks us through 85 scrumptious recipes that will make us feel at home. Plus, they’re easy! Nothing fancy!
I love Nadiya so much that I talk about her book in detail on another blog post. If you’re a fan of her show “Time to Eat” on Netflix, then you will appreciate Time to Eat: Delicious Meals for Busy Lives: A Cookbook. (via Amazon; affiliate link) Fast, fun, and delightful recipes for the whole family.
If you want to try to be healthy this winter or struggle with gluten, try True Comfort Cookbook. (via Amazon; affiliate link) Comfort foods you didn’t think could be healthy or made alternatively, like pancakes, cheese stuffed pasta shells, cookies, are all provided in this cookbook. I’m drooling looking through all the recipes.
The Cook with Me cookbook (via Amazon; affiliate link) is an encyclopedia of delicious comfort foods! It is divided up into breakfast, fish, soups, salads, desserts, etc. With 150 recipes we will be able to survive winter and eat new foods everyday!
Speaking of a surplus of recipes, if you want a mix of traditional American foods and comfort foods from around the world, take a peek at Matty Matheson: Home Style Cookery: A Home Cookbook. (via Amazon; affiliate link) There are recipes such as Texas Ribs to Pho soup and Creme Caramel. All of it sounds amazing!
Any of these new cookbooks would be able to keep us satiated this fall and winter!
