This plant-forward cookbook includes meat and vegetarian recipes. The Eastern European vegetable ingredients featured in this cookbook are beets, cabbage, carrots, mushrooms and potatoes.

Sour Cherries and Sunflowers: A Taste of Home | Recipes from Eastern Europe and Beyond, by Anastasia Zolotarev (May 20, 2025)
These 80 Eastern European recipes come from the author’s Ukrainian and Belarusian heritage. There are recipes for piroshky and Vareniki style dumplings, rye bread sandwiches and blini, borsch, plus festive cakes and cookies.
