Here’s a charming baking book featuring chapters on baking farm animals, wild animals, water creatures, woodland critters, and winter wonderland animals such as polar bears and penguins. This looks SO cute! The preview pics I can see seem to feature lots of frosting.
Cook Like a Homesteader: A Collection of Delicious, Nourishing From-Scratch Recipes, by Mel Matthews (April 29, 2025)
As a bit of a prepper and a huge Little House on the Prairie fan, I’m very much looking forward to this cookbook from the creator behind “The Homestead Fam.” Contents include baking basics for the modern homestead; a garden-to-jar chapter on canning and preserving; and a Farmstead Ferments chapter on fermentation and dairy. I’ll probably jump ahead to the sections on making your own butter and your own cheese!
Just Add Sprinkles: A Colorful Collection of Fun, Easy Bakes to Satisfy Your Sweet Cravings, by Taryn Camp (March 18, 2025)
This colorful baking book looks so fun, and after I peeked at the author’s Instagram, I got super inspired to try some fun baking next weekend. Chapters include classic flavors with a little fun; no-bake desserts; recipes for bake sales and parties; fruity and fun treats; and comforting and nostalgic treats. Sold! I’m in!
