Clarkson Potter’s Wonderful New Spring 2025 Cookbooks

There are so many fantastic cookbooks coming out from Clarkson Potter (via Crown Publishing) this Spring 2025! Here’s a brief look at their upcoming titles.

The co-founder of immensely popular ice cream shop Salt & Straw shares inventive flavors. He starts with basic classics, such as vanilla, strawberry and chocolate, and creates inventive ice cream recipes like Smoked Cherry Vanilla and Chili Crisp Chocolate Peanut Butter.

The Choi of Cooking: Flavor-Packed, Rule-Breaking Recipes for a Delicious Life, by Roy Choi (April 15, 2025)

Here are 100 flavorful Asian-accented recipes from one of the stars of Netflix’s “The Chef Show.” I love the subtitle of this cookbook – “The Cookbook that Meets You Where You Are. We Got You.” That’s so nice!

Every Day with Babs: 101 Family-Friendly Dinners for Every Day of the Week, by Barbara Costello (April 8, 2025)

I’m delighted to see another cookbook from everyone’s favorite grandmother. This one’s a dinner cookbook, with 101 recipes. They’re organized by days of the week, which I think more dinner cookbooks should do!

Ghana to the World: Recipes and Stories That Look Forward While Honoring the Past, by Eric Adjepong and Korsha Wilson (March 11, 2025)

West African recipes, including Waakye Stew, Paw Paw (Papaya) Salad, and Benne Miso Noodles with Beef.

Kwéyòl / Creole: Recipes, Stories, and Tings from a St. Lucian Chef’s Journey, by Nina Compton and Osayi Endolyn (April 1, 2025)

The author grew up in St. Lucia, then garnered Afro-Latin culinary inspiration from her travel and experiences in Jamaica, Miami, and New Orleans. There are 100 recipes for dishes including goat, stewed conch, collard greens, and plantains.

One Pot One Portion: 100 Simple Recipes Just for You, by Eleanor Wilkinson (February 11, 2025)

Here’s a cookbook for people who cook and eat alone or live alone (or people like me who are vegetarian so prepare two different meals-for-one every night). I love one pan recipes – easy cleanup – and I definitely want to learn to make the perfect portion to avoid overeating and food waste both.

Pretty Delicious: Simple, Modern Mediterranean, Served with Style, by Alia Elkaffas and Radwa Elkaffas (February 25, 2025)

Midwestern ladies known as Food Dolls on YouTube share Mediterranean recipes with a Middle Eastern twist. The Middle Eastern inspiration comes from their Egyptian-born parents. Recipes will include breakfast foods, appetizers, dips, salads, dinner dishes and sweets.

Salsa Daddy: Dip Your Way into Mexican Cooking, by Rick Martinez (April 29, 2025)

Here’s a fun cookbook for parties, beach days and Mexican buffet parties. The author presents recipes for 70 different salsas and 24 Mexican meals to pair with them.

Salt Sugar MSG: Recipes and Stories from a Cantonese American Home, by Calvin Eng and Phoebe Melnick (March 18, 2025)

Here is Cantonese cooking through an American lens. Some of the recipes are for traditional Cantonese Chinese food classics; others experiment with fun combinations, such as Salt & Pepper Pork Schnitzel with Chinese Ranch and a dish called BLT Fried Rice.

Symon’s Dinners Cooking Out: 100 Recipes That Redefine Outdoor Cooking, by Michael Symon and Douglas Trattner (March 25, 2025)

Recipes from the Food Network show “Symon’s Dinners Cooking Out.” Chef Symon shares recipes you can cook outside on your grill, including to my surprise Fettuccine with Smoked Tomato Sauce.

We the Pizza: Slangin’ Pies and Savin’ Lives, by Muhammad Abdul-Hadi, Michael Carter and David Joachim (February 11, 2025)

Pizza recipes from Down North, the Philadelphia restaurant that hires formerly incarcerated people to help drop crime recidivism rates. Besides pizzas, there are recipes for chicken wings, milkshakes, fries and lemonades.
