The latest Harry Potter cookbook arrives on bookshelves May 7, 2024 from the fantastic pop culture book company Insight Editions.
It’s called “Harry Potter: Afternoon Tea Magic: Official Snacks, Sips, and Sweets Inspired by the Wizarding World” (via Amazon; affiliate link)
The authors are Veronica Hinke and Jody Revenson.
Inside, the book offers everything you need to throw a magical tea party themed after the Harry Potter universe.
Chapters include:
- Sweet Finger Treats and Sugary Nibbles
- Savory Teatime Finger Foods
- Teatime Candies, Snacks and Take Home Gifts
- Teatime Tipples, Hot Drinks and Magical Mixes
At the back of the book there’s a page about dietary considerations, and a fryer safety tips page as well.
Some of the recipes inside include Honeyduke’s Lemon Drop Meringue Teatime Bites, Mini Fried Raven Egg Tea Sandwiches, Professor Snape’s Blueberry Sage Spritzer, Luna Lovegood’s Honey Roasted Radish Salad, and Ron Weasley’s Savory Escargot-Stuffed Mushrooms. (Did they really just put real escargot in a kid’s cookbook? I suspect maybe not?)
The recipe I’m most looking forward to baking personally is the Deathly Hallows Pull-Apart Teatime Bread!
