I was surprised my grandfather decided to go visit Portugal a couple of years ago. Everyone I know is always drawn to Paris, or the islands of Greece, or to the food of Spain. None of my loved ones have ever expressed wanting to visit Portugal.
When he came back he raved about the food and culture. He said it was the best country he had visited in his life. Now, I want to go visit, try their cuisine and explore!

I have been waiting for this cookbook to come out for months now! I’ve never cooked or tried food from Portugal. With the Portuguese Home Cooking cookbook, we can bring Portuguese cuisine home.
The Portuguese Home Cooking cookbook is gorgeous. You will be transported by the fantastic photos of Portuguese food and landscapes of the country.
Ana Patuleia Ortins, the author, brings rustic and authentic Portuguese cooking into our homes. She shares stories and cooking methods that have been passed down for many generations.
Each dish is unique and distinctly Portuguese. Anytime I think about cooking authentic European cuisine, I always assume that it will be involved! This cookbook has easy and approachable dishes you can make on weekends and weekdays. Some examples are Baked Rabbit with Onion Sauce, Marinated Beefsteaks or Eggs on Horseback, and Baking Soda Cakes.

Anytime I think of fresh and vibrant cuisine, the Mediterranean diet comes to mind. Food from Portugal is comforting, rich, and dynamic, just as much as their Mediterranean neighbors. Learn the culinary traditions that make these dishes tasty and unique with the Portuguese Home Cooking cookbook.
