Cooking at Home: Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying About Recipes (And Love My Microwave)
David Chang and Priya Krishna
When I saw the word “microwave”, I knew this was a must-have cookbook! Cooking at Home: Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying About Recipes (And Love My Microwave): A Cookbook is perfect for people with busy lives!
I love David Chang and Priya Krishna. Knowing that they utilize their microwaves shamelessly makes me feel better! This cookbook is David’s guide to unlocking culinary shortcuts and hacks. Even though David is a professional chef for Momofuku, he’s a terrible home cook. “Don’t bring work home” has a whole other meaning to a professional cook.
Many of the recipes help us learn how to adapt. You can use frozen vegetables, substitute ingredients, find shortcuts, or even ditch the recipe entirely. David equips us with all the necessary tools we will need.
Many of the dishes are multi-cultural and look scrumptious.
Cooking at Home: Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying About Recipes (And Love My Microwave) is unique in that it doesn’t blatantly list the names of the dishes. Nor does it list out the ingredients. Honestly, it looks as if you are cooking on the fly! There’s a “pinch of this” or “dash of that” and lots of hoping for the best!
As someone who likes this kind of cooking, I’m checking out this cookbook!
