Trap Kitchen: Mac N’ All Over The World: Bangin’ Mac N’ Cheese Recipes from Around the World
by Malachi Jenkins (Author), Roberto Smith (Author), Snoop Dogg (Foreword), Kathy Iandoli (Contributor)
You won’t want to miss the Trap Kitchen: Mac N’ All Over The World: Bangin’ Mac N’ Cheese Recipes from Around the World cookbook. From one cheese lover to another, cheese and noodles go together like peanut butter and jelly.
The Trap Kitchen began as an Instagram project and has since blown up! Malachi Jenkins and Roberto Smith are childhood friends from rival gangs. They were brought together by two things – food and girls. Now, the Trap Kitchen has a restaurant in many large cities and continues to grow. One of their specialties is cooking up cozy comfort foods. You can check out their first cookbook here to see other recipes to take home.
This cookbook gives us a collection of over 50 recipes that are strictly about macaroni and cheese. You will experience flavors from all around the world.
Whoever designed the Trap Kitchen: Mac N’ All Over The World: Bangin’ Mac N’ Cheese Recipes from Around the World cookbook deserves so many props. For each recipe, you will find an outline of the country or state it originates. As an artist, I felt the need to point out how cool that is.
These dishes undeniably cover countries from around the world! Examples of these dishes are Greek Gyro Mac, Aleppo Brocolli Mac, General Tso Chicken Mac, and more. Moreover, there is a variety of cheese used throughout the cookbook.
Luckily, the dishes are easy to make! You can utilize this cookbook all year and all week long.
Easy Cheese Boards: Arrangements, Recipes, and Pairings for Any Occasion
Claire Robin Andler
I know the Easy Cheese Boards: Arrangements, Recipes, and Pairings for Any Occasion cookbook is going to come in handy this holiday season. You can learn more about boards and platter cookbooks coming out on our previous blog post.
This cookbook is filled with useful information. You will find instructions on how to build 30 tasty cheese boards. This includes food and drink pairings for every kind of cheese. There are even tips for making each arrangement beautiful.
One of my favorite features is the glossary of cheeses! Now we will know what kinds of options we have when creating our charcuterie boards.
Here are all the chapters of this cookbook:
- Introduction to Cheese
- How to Build Your Cheese Board
- Appetizer Boards
- Party Platters
- Dessert Boards
- Flavorful Accompaniments
The photos are stunning and showcase the cheese for each board. I love the unique recipes that they’ve given to us! There are even a few chapters that display vegan cheese platters! Thankfully, no one will be left out of the festivities.
The Cheese Board Deck: 50 Cards for Styling Spreads, Savory and Sweet
by Meg Quinn (Author) Shana Smith (Author), Haley Davis (Photographer)
If you’re looking for a fun way of mixing up your meals, take a look at The Cheese Board Deck: 50 Cards for Styling Spreads, Savory and Sweet. Author Meg Quinn presents 50 tasty ideas for boards that anyone can assemble at home.
Do you know what the best thing about cheese boards is? There’s no cooking involved! All you will need is a knack for creativity!
Some examples of themes you will find in The Cheese Board Deck are a BLT board, an Italian antipasti platter, a vegan board, a “Crudit-Yay” board, and much more!
Honestly, I have a love-hate relationship with the deck of cards cookbook idea. On one hand, it is cute and spontaneous! On the other, many cards will refer to other cards. Just be careful not to lose any of the cards in the deck!
Cheese Sex Death: A Bible for the Cheese Obsessed
Erika Kubick
I love how over the top this cookbook is. Cheese Sex Death: A Bible for the Cheese Obsessed is a must-have for any cheesemonger. The photography alone is drool-worthy.
Learning about cheese can be overwhelming – especially to those who aren’t familiar with cheese and all of its glory. There are so many smells, textures, pairings, and flavors to decipher when it comes to cheese. How do you pick? This cookbook is here to help!
From what I can see, there are a lot of unique chapters in Cheese Sex Death: A Bible for the Cheese Obsessed. One of the chapters describes the category of cheese. Next, we have recipes that showcase each cheese in all of its forms. Finally, there are arrangements for different cheese boards. Erika has even given us classic cheese boards for each region.
Aside from the “liturgic” writing style, each page looks organized and fun. It’s a very distinct cookbook. If you worship cheese – do not miss this cookbook!
The Eli’s Cheesecake Cookbook: Remarkable Recipes from a Chicago Legend: Updated 40th Anniversary Edition with New Recipes and Stories
by Maureen Schulman (Author), Elana Schulman (Author), Jolene Worthington (Author), Tara Lane (Author)
I can’t talk about cheese without mentioning cheesecakes! The Eli’s Cheesecake Cookbook: Remarkable Recipes from a Chicago Legend is phenomenal. If you aren’t hungry yet, you will be soon!
This is the 40th Anniversary Edition of the original cookbook. There are so many cheesecake recipes, you won’t know what to do with yourself. From the original cookbook, we had 40 cheesecake recipes, including Original Plain, Chocolate Chip, Cinnamon Rum Raisin, Belgian Chocolate, Espresso, and Banana. The latest edition adds recipes such as Cherry Vanilla, Carrot Cake Cheesecake, and Holiday Cheesecake Dippers. Holiday Cheesecake Dippers is a brilliant idea!
Allegedly, Eli Schulman is often credited with putting “Chicago-style” cheesecake on the map. It is richer and creamier than its New York counterpart. After visiting their website I had to check this cookbook out. I will be doing a cookbook review of it over on YouTube!
Out of curiosity, what is your favorite cheese? Classic sharp cheddar is my go-to!
