Leave Meals to Fate with the “Divine Your Dinner” Tarot Cookbook

Do any of you indulge in Tarot readings? It is something I dabble in from time to time, especially during Halloween. You’re probably wondering what this has to do with cookbooks! Let me show you this little gem I found in my research.

I cannot resist Divine Your Dinner: A Cookbook for Using Tarot as Your Guide to Magickal Meals for Halloween. Tarot is the perfect activity to do during autumn. My dream would be to cozy up in a blanket, do a reading, then have a tasty meal! Now, I won’t even have to make the decisions. My cards can do all the heavy lifting!

I want to start by saying that the illustrations in Divine Your Dinner: A Cookbook for Using Tarot as Your Guide to Magickal Meals are gorgeous. Typically, I enjoy having photo references for my dishes. I think there is something special about using paintings in this cookbook.

There are 78 magical recipes in this cookbook. Each represents a specific tarot card and its uses. The idea is to pull a card at random or with intention. Or if you just have a hard time making decisions, leave it to the Fates. Whatever you pick has a corresponding recipe with ingredients you can use to give your dishes more spiritual energy.

Some recipes you will find in this cookbook are Ancho Chile Brownies, Citrus Pudding Cake, Big Ol’ Cauldron of Ranch-Style Beans, and more.

Each card suit is matched with a central ingredient. For example, coins are associated with veggie and grain recipes, wands are linked to meat dishes. Unfortunately, this cookbook doesn’t appear to be vegetarian-friendly.

If you are into witchy things, Divine Your Dinner: A Cookbook for Using Tarot as Your Guide to Magickal Meals is quite useful. You will learn the magical properties of each component. Artichokes, for instance, are great for personal development.

All the ingredients are listed in alphabetical order so it is easy to find. In case you want to create spells!

I am tempted to pair this cookbook with the Tarot & Tequila: A Tarot Guide with Cocktails cookbook that came out earlier this year. What a party the two cookbooks would make!

Overall, this is a fun cookbook! I thoroughly enjoy the art and recipes provided. Plus, everyone can use a little magic in their life!
