Meal Prep Diabetes Cookbook: 4 Weeks of Easy Meal Plans
Kathy Birkett RDN LD
I have to be honest with you, meal prepping is my Achilles heel. I have a hard time coming up with brilliant ideas for a whole week and I tend to get bored of the same thing.
I was surprised to see those issues are addressed in Meal Prep Diabetes Cookbook: 4 Weeks of Easy Meal Plans. They acknowledge that meal prep can get tedious and monotonous. I can’t wait to see what kind of recipes they are offering.
Some of the recipes they have shared are a chicken teriyaki, ranch chicken wrap with sweet potatoes, and rolled apple almond tortillas.
This cookbook goes beyond providing recipes – it also helps you learn what your body needs for a diabetes-friendly diet. We learn how to create our own balanced meals and the “plate method.”
One thing I appreciate most about this cookbook is learning how to grocery shop! It’s a hard thing to do, especially when you are adjusting your diet and making new meal plans.
There are more than 4 weeks of meal prep recipes included in Meal Prep Diabetes Cookbook: 4 Weeks of Easy Meal Plans. Now you can go on your own and be creative with your own weekly menus!
Sugar-Free Kids: Over 150 Fun & Easy Recipes to Keep the Whole Family Happy & Healthy
by Maria Emmerich
I am including the Sugar-Free Kids: Over 150 Fun & Easy Recipes to Keep the Whole Family Happy & Healthy cookbook for a number of reasons. First, there are many diabetic children out there that need assistance. Two, if kids are going to want to eat these dishes then so am I – No shame in that.
I was astounded by how many kid-friendly recipes are given in this cookbook – over 150! I guarantee you won’t go hungry!
Some examples are chocolate minute muffins, touchdown tacos, crispy baked ravioli, and just like Oreo cookie sandwiches. This all sounds very child friendly to me!
Another fantastic feature about this cookbook is that Emmerich offers alternatives depending on diet. That means there are vegetarian, nut-free, and dairy free options for all your dietary needs.
