For those who don’t know, I am in love with Nadiya Hussain. Ever since I saw her on the Great British Bake Off, I knew she would soar as a cook! I talked about Nadiya’s previous cookbook in a previous blog post on Cookbook Divas that you guys should check out!
Not only is her smile infectious, but her passion for baking really shines in her cookbooks. I am thrilled to see that her new cookbook (via Amazon; affiliate link) is focused on baking! She is a stupendous baker and I couldn’t think of anyone else I’d love to learn from.

These are the kinds of recipes you might look at and say “Wow there’s no way I can do that!” but Nadiya breaks each bake down in a simplistic way so that we can all tackle these gorgeous treats.
These bakes are unique in flavors and look. She utilizes interesting ingredients such as lavender, chilies, cranberries, and more in a beautiful way. They are visually stunning bakes!
The instructions are clear, but also if a recipe is a tad more involved she has provided photos of her step by step process. This is perfect for us visual learners out there!
The ingredients are very easy to find and accessible. One of my favorite features about this cookbook is that she’s provided measurements in U.S. cups and in milliliters. That way everyone can enjoy this book right away.
I truly love that she’s indicated how long each recipe will take to bake and prep. Sometimes, I enjoy doing last minute baking (or baking in between activities). This is why I love knowing how long everything is going to take so hopefully I will have treats for friends and family when I see them!
Each part of the bake is dissected into parts so it is easier to conquer. That helps you keep things organized in the kitchen! Especially for the more elaborate dishes.
Nadiya is an amazing baker, so I really cannot wait to get my hands on Nadiya Bakes: Over 100 Must-Try Recipes for Breads, Cakes, Biscuits, Pies, and More: A Baking Book! The lavender blueberry scone pizza is just a glimpse of how gorgeous these recipes are. I can’t wait to try!
