We at Cookbook Divas understand how difficult it is to pick out a cookbook you absolutely love. Almost every established chef has had a cookbook released, if not two or more. When it comes to “general cooking” it’s even harder, because you want to find something that fits your style and needs. That’s why I think this cookbook is a necessity on your bookshelf!

Donna Hay’s cookbook The New Classics is going to enhance your food whether you’re a novice or experienced cook. What is special about this cookbook is that it truly does approach some of the world’s classics, rather than focusing on what is trending.
Donna Hay’s career as a food writer and stylist began when she was nineteen. She was appointed food editor of Marie Claire when she was twenty-five. Her world has been food for a long time! She’s received an ASTRA award for best Female Personality and has published twenty-six cookbooks so far.
This cookbook is a great introduction to the best of Donna Hay and to cooking!

The New Classics cookbook is incredibly visual. Not only are there large stunning photos of almost every dish, but also close ups for many of the components. As you know, I love having big pictures throughout my cookbook, so this is wonderful.
This cookbook includes many step-by-step instructions for making basic dishes and then includes variations on that recipe. That means the possibilities are endless and Donna Hay is encouraging us to to be creative!
Because there are so many variations of each dish, the recipes range from very easy to challenging. Thankfully Donna breaks every aspect down so that we can all understand. What is even better is that some recipes have extra step-by-step pictures!
Take home The New Classics cookbook and start making some family favorites with a bit of a twist!
