I’m over-the-moon excited to share with you that The Official Harry Potter Baking Book comes out in July! This is going to be so fun to look through, read and bake from! I have so many Harry Potter-obsessed nieces and nephews I want to buy this cookbook for.

This cookbook is meant for kids, and is supposedly is written simply enough that they can enjoy making things such as Hogwarts Crest Pie. The recipes look pretty advanced, so far as I can tell from peeking through the limited advance preview images I can get ahold of. I’d probably buy this for preteens and teenagers.
Making the stained glass lenses for Luna Specterspecs cookies will be a task for teens, older kids or of course adults. I’ve done this before when I made stained glass cookies at Christmas – it just takes melting down some hard candies.
This Hogwart’s Gingerbread Castle is magnificent. I’m having a hard time believing amateur home bakers could accomplish this though! The castle spires are obviously chocolate-dipped sugar cones, but making the round towers looks formidable. I am hoping the baking cookbook includes printable templates in the back?
The Official Harry Potter Baking Book contains 45 recipes inspired by the films. I’m delighted to report that this baking book includes gluten-free, vegan and nut-free options for its recipes.
Can’t wait to see more and I’ll do a cookbook lookthrough review video as soon as I can get my hands on one of these!
Happy baking!
