A Unique Cookbook for Herbalists and Tea Lovers: Herbal Revolution

When I was young, tea was my thing, I absolutely hated coffee. It wasn’t just about “tea” though; for me it was mostly about understanding the flavors and herbs used for each bag. There was a point at which I lightly studied herbs and their medicinal properties, but my interest slowly faded away. Now I am an avid coffee drinker (Thank you, husband…) desperately trying to wean myself away and go back to tea. It has been an almost impossible task, but I think I know what will help get me inspired.

The Herbal Revolution: 65+ Recipes for Teas, Elixirs, Tinctures, Syrups, Foods + Body Products That Heal cookbook is exactly what I need.

Herbal Revolution is an award winning herbal company based out of Maine founded by Kathi Langelier. Kathi believes in the power of plants and their healing properties. She stands by her brand and the quality shows. With many awards such as the International Herbal Symposium award for Elderberry Plus Elixir, plus two grand prizes for best overall herbal business award from the American Herbalist Guild – her products are no joke! In fact, you may have already seen some of her products in health food and whole food markets.

I admire that we are able to take the Herbal Revolution: 65+ Recipes for Teas, Elixirs, Tinctures, Syrups, Foods + Body Products That Heal cookbook home with us. This is a gift that Kathi has bestowed on all of us who want to learn more about herbal remedies. These are ways of healing the inside for a better outside!

Now that I have talked about how great the Herbal Revolution is as a company, let’s move on to the cookbook! Herbal Revolution: 65+ Recipes for Teas, Elixirs, Tinctures, Syrups, Foods + Body Products That Heal has 60 healthy organic recipes that will help us feel better again. These recipes include teas, syrups, tinctures, snack foods, and more. Using herbs, teas, and foods to hopefully alleviate some minor pains in our lives. (This is by no means a way to battle any serious illnesses.)

Each recipe is easy to follow and most of the the ingredients are readily available. Though, I do believe the learning curve is steep (no pun intended). Once you know exactly what you’re looking for then it should be easy. Things like dried nettle leaves or red clover blossoms are not ingredients most of us think of often, but they are available at your local co-ops or organic markets. Many of these can be shipped to you from Amazon as well! If you’re new to herbal medicine, starting off might be difficult, but I assure you it is fascinating to learn about and worth the time.

This cookbook encourages us to listen to our bodies and look at the immediate world around us. Enjoy all of nature and what it has to offer. With Kathi, you learn to harness your own power to heal your body, mind, and spirit. These are tips to living mindfully and simply. Herbal medicine is quickly gaining popularity and the industry is growing.
