Cooking Together with New Cookbook: Kid in the Kitchen by Melissa Clark

Now that we are all spending extra time with our little ones, it’s time to get creative. I know the school year has been daunting for some of us this year, but we need to remain vigilant! With the holidays sneaking up on us, we can start to get excited about baking and cooking together! Take a peek at Kid in the Kitchen: 100 Recipes and Tips for Young Home Cooks: A Cookbook (via Amazon; affiliate link) to get inspired.

There are fun interactive recipes all throughout this cookbook. They all include illustrations to match and specific tips and hints to make your recipe more unique. Now you and the kids can experiment with traditional recipes (such as a grilled cheese) and create something new and enjoyable! Obviously, there are more involved recipes that require a little more dexterity and team work.

Kid in the Kitchen: 100 Recipes and Tips for Young Home Cooks: A Cookbook (via Amazon; affiliate link) is divided up into do’s and don’t of the kitchen, techniques, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and yes, dessert. I appreciate that Clark breaks down certain techniques in numerical steps. For instance, how to cut an onion (very important!) or general knife skills. This isn’t only great for kids, but for me too!

You can pre-order this cookbook on Amazon. It will be released on November 10th of this year – just in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas!
