Kaiti and I are both Disney fans (though we’re not visiting any of the Disney theme parks during this difficult time). So we were fighting over who got to write this cookbook preview post on Disney Eats: More Than 150 Recipes for Everyday Cooking and Inspired Fun (via Amazon; affiliate link) and I apparently won – yay!
This cookbook seems to have been written for adults who want to cook for kids, but as I peek at some of the recipes inside, they do seem easy enough for older kids and preteens to follow.
Chapters include:
- Breakfast
- Sips & Snacks
- Salads, Lunch & Light Fare
- Playful Dinners
- Inspired Feasts
- Everything for the Holidays
- Easy Treats
- Celebrations
Inside, the food photos are as cute and colorful as we’d hoped. I’m actually not a huge Mickey Mouse fan (no offense, Mickey!) but I’d love to try my hand at making those Nutcracker cookies!
Sadly, I don’t have any children who would try even one bite of something as vegetable-heavy as Ratatouille! I’d make this for myself and my boyfriend though.
Snooping around inside this fun cookbook a bit, I see recipes for Mickey & Minnie’s MIlk Toppers, Woody’s Cowboy Chili, purple “Pop Stars” popcorn, Sulley’s Jam-Filled Tarts, Eeyore’s Pancake Stack, Rapunzel’s Braided Buns (I just giggled, sorry), Cinderella’s Dreamy Pumpkin Waffles, Lady and the Tramp Puppy Mix, and the adorable Olaf Bento shown above.
This cookbook seems jam-packed full of clever, cute and fun ideas. I’d buy it just for the inspiration alone!
What’s your favorite Disney movie and who is your favorite Disney character? Love to hear about it in the comments below!
