This is a must-have cookbook for all Harry Potter fans – like myself! The Unofficial Hogwarts for the Holidays Cookbook (via Amazon; affiliate link) is a great way to entertain friends and family throughout the cold season. If you have kids or live with roommates, having your own Yule Ball will lift everyone’s spirits this time of year!
The cookbook itself takes you on an adventure to and through the wizarding world. Thoughtfully planned, there are recipes that are designed to be eaten on the Hogwarts Express and at the Yule Ball itself. This gives us the opportunity to mix things up and create our own setting. Also, these recipes are more genuine to Hogwarts. There are no witch finger hotdogs or olive eyeballs, but meals that Harry, Ron, and Hermione would likely eat during their time at school.
Another perk of this cookbook is the recipes are easy to follow and require simple ingredients. Even the bouillabaisse looks really easy! Which brings me to one of my favorite things about The Unofficial Hogwarts for the Holidays Cookbook. (via Amazon; affiliate link)
Understandably, there are plenty of enchanting desserts out there, but main courses can be a hard find. Even just a glimpse of the inside of this cookbook reveals at least two delicious main courses fit for a party. There are 75 bewitching recipes that’ll even satisfy your local Slytherin.
If you’re anything like me and struggling to find ways to keep yourself or even your household entertained, this is a fantastic cookbook. It will get a lot of use for many, many years. Especially when you can truly throw a Harry Potter themed party in the future! Decorate, dress up, eat up, and have a blast!
