Drooling Over The New Fondue Cookbook

I cannot tell you how excited I am to finally get together with family and friends! I may be planning a little too far in advance, but that’s what keeps me positive.

When I saw The New Fondue Cookbook I knew I had to get it. How many of you have a fondue pot but never use it? I swear it’s one of those wedding gifts you actually want, but then heating up cheese or chocolate seems like a chore or it’s hard to make it tasty? I don’t get it, but this happened to me. I am hoping this cookbook is going to solve all of those problems!

There are “100 EASY” fondue recipes in this cookbook. I honestly cannot even fathom 50 recipes that are strictly fondue, so this excites me! They cover a lot of the classics, such as the traditional Swiss, cheddar and beer, and of course chocolate. Then the cookbook dives into a bit of different flavors, like bourbon and butterscotch (yum!) and spinach and feta. By the time we finish all 100 recipes, we will be fondue savants!

Along with the vast amount of flavors of the fondue itself, I appreciate the pairings they suggest throughout the book. I would have never thought of making zucchini chips or lamb cubes for cheesy fondue. Sometimes it’s hard to expand beyond bread, apples, and broccoli for fondue. Even dessert fondues I tend to think of using exclusively strawberries, but the cookbook suggests sponge cakes, brownies, and biscuits for certain fondues, depending on flavor.

Most of these recipes are very easy and manageable. All you need is a fondue pot, simple ingredients, and hungry bellies!

If you know someone who has a fondue pot, this would be a great cookbook to get them for the holidays! It comes out on December 8th, just before Christmas!

What kind of fondue recipes do you like? I personally love artichoke with Swiss!
